PSUK Championships - Liverpool 17/18th April 2010 2009

The 2010 PSUK Swimming & Water polo Championships were hosted by Merseyside Police over the weekend of 17/18th April.

Numbers were very slightly down on the previous year and although some open events competitors were sparse there were plenty competitors in the Masters competitions and for the longer distance open events.  33 forces entered teams from across the UK with 259 competitors taking to the water.

GB Police Swim Team Smash Records

At the 9th Navy Masters Championships in Millfield, 2010. It was the first time the PSUK Swimming Team has entered the Navy Masters competition. The one day competition consisting of a virtually full programme proved tiring on the team, especially as the clocks had gone forward. Added to this was the fact that this was many of the team’s first competition of the year since the change in the costume rules by Fina.
 
ASA National Masters - Sheffield 23rd-25th October 2009

The Great British National Masters and Senior Age Group Short Course Championships took place at Ponds Forge, Sheffield in October 2009.
 
USPE Championships - Avila, Spain 27th-31st July 2009

USPE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 The Police Sport UK Swimming Team competed in the 13 th USPE European Police Championships in Avila, Spain from the 27th to the 31st July.
 
British Masters (Longcourse) - Cardiff 19-21st June 2009

The GB Masters Long Course Swimming Championships were held in Cardiff between 19th and 21st July 2009.  A record number of PSUK swimmers made themselves available to swim which, is a good reflection as to  team morale

The event is open to all British and International swimmers and being a master’s event is broken down into 5 year age brackets. The PSUK team won 16 gold, 6 silver and 10 individual bronze medals as well as taking 4 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze in the team/relay events, in fact all relay teams won medals.
